| Muralists,
We have
set August 19-22 as our weekend to paint the Czech Village welcome
mural. The mural will be painted on carbon steel panels and
installed on the Bartunek Building facing C Street SW. We're
still in the design process, but stylistically it will have an
Alphonse Mucha Art Nouveau look. We are collecting local
historical reference material to help tell the story. We need
about 32 volunteers to help in two hour shifts. If you have time
to dedicate to this project anytime between Thursday evening to Sunday
afternoon, please let me know and we'll start putting together our work
shifts. Remember, formal art training is not required, but a
sense of color and detail is important. Painters will be
following guidelines set-out by the designers.
We need
help from the whole community to make this happen, so please feel free
